Types of Gabion Box

Gabion baskets

It is a net wire mesh that produced in box-shaped and in different sizes.

Common Applications of Gabion Box

1. Gabions are used at the soil-water interface to slow down concentrated runoff or to stabilize slopes with seepage problems and/or non-cohesive soils.
2. Gabions are used on slopes that are steeper than rock throwing and are sometimes the only viable option for stabilizing areas that do not have enough space to accommodate "softer" vegetation solutions.
3. Gabion boxes are used to prevent possible rock and stone falls on road and railroad surfaces and to maintain the stability of slopes close to highways and railroads.

Q: How is your payment term ?

A: Generally, our payment term is T/T 30% in advance and the balance 70% against the copy of B/L. Other payment term we can also discuss.

Q: How are gabions delivered to the project site?

A: The gabions are delivered folded up and closed in bundles of about 1200-2000lbs, each bundle containing a certain number of units.

Q: Can gabions be pre-filled and then lifted into final position?

A: Woven mesh gabions can be pre-filled and then lifted into position. This is an ideal solution when access is difficult or dangerous, or when there is a limited construction time window; e.g. between tides, or during a railroad work closure. The units are pre-filled in advance, transported to the work site and then installed.

Q: How is your delivery time ?

A: We always prepare enough stock material for your urgent requirement, the delivery time is 7 days for all the stock material. We'll check with our production department for the non-stock items to offer you the exact delivery time and producing schedule.

Q: How can I calculate the amount of rock needed for my project?

A: Gabion rock fill is generally supplied by the ton. Depending upon the density of the rock fill at your local quarry, the final tonnage you order will vary. As a rule of thumb, gabion rock fill is going to be around 1.4 -1.5 tons per cubic yard. This would allow for overfilling of units and some wastage. It assumes that the gabion is 25-35% voids, and that the density of good rock fill is 155lb/CUft.
