In standard filter leaf construction, multi-layer mesh packs are typically inserted into a metal frame channel and secured using intermittent spot welds or mechanical crimping. Under continuous pressure differential and repeated pneumatic vibrator cycles, these non-continuous seams open up microscopic gaps. Unfiltered slurry takes the path of least resistance, bypassing the fine filtration face and migrating directly into the clean drainage core.
