In high-pressure industrial filtration, a primary cause of filtrate turbidity and batch failure is perimeter leakage-commonly known as edge bypass. In standard filter leaf construction, multi-layer mesh packs are typically inserted into a metal frame channel and secured using intermittent spot welds or mechanical crimping. Under continuous pressure differential and repeated pneumatic vibrator cycles, these non-continuous seams open up microscopic gaps. Unfiltered slurry takes the path of least resistance, bypassing the fine filtration face and migrating directly into the clean drainage core.

The multi-layer wire mesh matrix is hydraulically pre-tensioned over a heavy-duty stainless steel U-channel frame that is laser-aligned to a strict diagonal squareness tolerance of ≦2.0mm. Using automated, continuous robotic TIG welding, the outer U-channel and all internal mesh layers are fused into a single, seamless 360° hermetic border. This full-penetration perimeter seal forces 100% of the process fluid through the active, precision-calendered filtration skin, completely eliminating boundary bypass and guaranteeing consistent filtrate clarity from start to finish.
